Notice-deadline calculator
Enter the end date and the notice period from your contract. You get the last day you can give notice, and what happens if you miss it.
Check the wording in your contract. Some require notice to be received by the deadline, others only sent. This is a guide, not legal advice.
Why the end date is the wrong date to remember
A contract that ends on 28 February with three months' notice has to be terminated by 28 November. A day later you are committed to the next term. The end date is printed in the contract; the notice deadline is not printed anywhere.
Doing this once is easy. Doing it for every supplier, lease, licence and framework agreement, and again every time one renews, is the part that slips.
Every contract, calculated like this, automatically.
NeedToKnow reads the end date and notice period from each agreement, calculates the deadline once a person has confirmed them, and tells the owner in time.
